CISV Midwest Ohio is in need of staff and a camp director for the Youth Meeting we will be hosting in summer 2023. Our Youth Meeting will be 15 days long and will be held June 24 - July 8.
All applicants must be 21 or older before the start of the program. We are accepting applications from people living locally or nationally. Staff will receive a stipend.
Youth Meeting is comprised of 8 delegations with 4 youth in each delegation with an adult leader.
Youth Meetings explore aspects of a theme that affects us all, such as democracy; children share their perspectives and learn from each other. As with all our programs, children will find an emphasis on friendship and fun!
There will be four staff, including a camp director, and up to 1 junior staff, and together will prepare everything so that leaders can lead and inspire peace education activities for program participants. Staff members will manage the logistics of the camp environment which include making sure everything in the facility is working and is accessible for all participants, helping coordinate excursions, facilitating program planning and evaluation processes, and managing money, first aid, and incident reports. Staff members will also be responsible for maintaining the safety and well- being of the camp delegates and identifying if a delegate or leader may need medical care. Staff members will also manage forms including medical forms and dispense medicine according to doctors' instructions when necessary.
Staff must attend national staff training and local training. Local training will be held in late March/early April and National Leadership Training will be held on May 6 in Cincinnati and will be an all-day training.
